Sherwood RV in Saskatoon
63Shopping around for a new RV, camper, travel trailer or motorhome can be a daunting experience. After all, this is not the equivalent of buying camping equipment. It is more like buying a home (or second home). Buying something of this expense and something that you will spend so much time in really requires a lot of thought and research. You need to carefully consider your travel objectives, what kind of activities you enjoy, where you would like to go, not to mention budget and other financial considerations.
RVs and the whole genre of recreational vehicles are our specialty.
Many people do not understand the difference between the various categories of RVs (recreational vehicles). There are motorhomes, campers, travel trailers and fifth wheels.
A motorhome (class A) is an RV with its own motor and built on a special chassis that is designed specifically for motor homes. These are the largest size of motor homes. These are usually a home away from home, as the size of these RVs allows them to have most of the comforts of a house. They can have a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, self-contained water and sanitation systems.
The camper has no motor or engine of its own and is designed to be towed by a larger vehicle.
The fifth wheel is similarly designed to be towed by a larger vehicle (usually a pick-up truck) equipped with a special hitch called a fifth wheel coupling. In this case, the trailer body extends over the truck bed.
Sherwood RV in Saskatoon (in Saskatchewan) offers RV sales and service of new and used RVs. We also offer RV service and RV parts.
In terms of new RVs we carry the Rockwood Roo, Cardinal Rv, Sabre Rv and more.
For used RVs we carry Prowler, Berkshire, Cardinal, Colorado, Forester, Jayco, Sabre, Sportmaster, Terry, and Westwind. However our stock is always changing so check with us to see what is available.
Either way, once you have your dream recreational vehicle picked out, it will be time to get out on the road and explore the beauty of North America.

What's a good RV park in the Saskatoon area for a couple days stay in the summer? I've probably visited seven or eight times, but my wife has never been. We want to take an RV to Saskatchewan, especially to the National Park in the Prince Albert area and to Saskatoon. Hopefully my dental tourism business (www.holidaydental.ca)will have slowed down for the summer by then and I'll be able to take the time off.
